Hello. My husband and I own Kishauwau Cabins on the outskirts of Tonica, Illinois. Our property is host to 17 cabins in varying sizes and offers a secluded, get back to nature escape reminiscent of a time when our lives weren’t run by cell phones and internet. We consider this modern day glamping as here each cabin offers central air and are furnace heated, each with a full kitchen as well as each cabin with their own personal outdoor bonfire pit with picnic table & grill. Each cabin also offers either a wood stove or gas fireplace which make them so cozy in the winter. We also have many packages you can add to your reservation to surprise that special someone upon arrival. Here you will vacation unplugged, to enjoy the company of those you came with or just reflect on your own.
There is so much to do in the area: local hiking, shopping, dining, fishing , birding, horseback riding, spring wildflower excursions, etc…
If you are in search of a unique vacation destination not far from home in Chicago, Kishauwau Cabins can put you in the backyard of four Illinois state parks with endless opportunities for outdoor recreation or relaxation. Our cabins are able to accommodate 1-14 guests, and we welcome dogs in 4 dedicated dog-friendly cabins. As a family owned business for over 35 years, we maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for any vacation from family reunions to romantic getaways.
