My boys (ages 5 and 9) absolutely needed and adored the wide open space and nature of the ranch. Highlights were swimming in the river, panning for gold, dining outdoors with the beautiful view of the river and mountain, the sleeping porch, and greeting the cows, horses, and Edgar the darling dog daily. The setting is idyllic and we went to Yosemite almost daily, and it was as if we had the park to ourselves. My kids are already asking when we can come back. Thank you to Sam and Jerry for a wonderful experience we will never forget.” – Amy

Guest review: “Copper Lodge is a beautiful property. In particular we loved lounging in the outdoor living room, playing ping pong (and the many outdoor games) and hiking down to the river (although in late June this year it was more a trickle—better for finding turtles and crawdads than swimming). We didn’t leave the property once over our four-night trip. Natalie was prompt and helpful with questions. Highly recommended as a nourishing natural setting for a family getaway and a break from a city, which is precisely what we were looking for.” – Frank

Prepare yourself for some white-knuckle mountain roads with steep drop-offs. Many of the bathrooms in the park do not have running water and are very smelly. Just be prepared for the slight inconvenience. The beautiful landscapes, rock formations, lakes, and forests are not to be missed! So glad that we went on this trip!” – Karen
