Inside, you’ll find large wooden structures and adornments, a brick-walled fireplace, leather couches, and antler chandeliers—giving guests a majestic woodsy cabin feel.
If you’re not being lazy in the living room, you’ll probably find yourself in the hot tub with views of colorful foliage and Tupper Lake. The gourmet kitchen will draw you in and tempt you to test your cooking skills. Apart from the fully equipped kitchen, guests are treated to fresh linen, wireless internet, a fitness room, games, and more.
A quick walk from the lodge will have you standing on the beach overlooking the lake. If you’re up for some adventure, why not grab a canoe or paddleboat to enjoy the serene waters? If you are after a quirky cabin in the woods — let me introduce you to the Cayuga Lake cabin. The site provides an ideal atmosphere and scenery for a romantic getaway. I recommend this cabin for couples or small families as it has three bedrooms that sleep up to 7 people. Lakefront views surround the property.
A dock extends over Lake Cayuga for an even closer look or perhaps a swim during summer—one of the reasons I suggest you visit this cabin in the summer months. Another reason is an outdoor dining table under a patio umbrella adorned with fairy lights—an ideal setup for a romantic evening by the lakeshore.
3) Algonquin Mountain Chalet
Price: $431+ per night
Here you have a spacious country-style cabin facing Mount Whiteface and Lake Everest for the most enchanting views. The cottage has five bedrooms and three bathrooms, accommodating large groups, families, and even three dogs.
As you approach the green chalet, you’ll notice large windows, making your stay light and airy—a much-needed breather from an intense life in the city. The cabin has about everything you need for a comfortable stay. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and wireless internet.

4) The Après Chalet
Where: Cattaraugus County

Welcome to a chalet that perfectly encapsulates the “ultra-modern farmhouse interior” look. Your stay will feel luxurious yet homey for an unforgettable getaway. Upon entering, your eyes will fall on the large wood-framed windows, wooden flooring, and an impressive fireplace. The soft, chic furniture will invite you in, so kick back your feet and unwind.
You will find that the beautifully decorated open kitchen will inspire you to cook up a storm. The chalet contains other amenities such as air conditioning, a coffee maker, a dishwasher, and a large flat-screen television for your comfort. The upscale Catskill Lodge has everything you need and more. The property is spacious enough for 12 guests with four bedrooms and bathrooms and has a lovely backyard for pets to enjoy.
