There’s only a few countries in the world that I would truly describe as “ultimate bucket list” destinations. These are the places that leave people completely speechless after visiting, and whose beauty is incomparable to any other place in the world.
Well ever since I was a 12 year old boy watching “Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring“, I’ve dreamt of visiting New Zealand, and it’s been at the very top of my travel wish list. The entire country is packed with stunning landscapes, fun activities, and some of the nicest people I’ve ever come across. Seriously, I’ve never met a kiwi person along my travels that I didn’t like.
I had initially planned on moving to New Zealand after completing my Working Holiday Visa in Australia, but that never got to happen for a few different personal reasons. I knew that I’d make it there when the time is right, and that time is now!! :-)
So I’m so stoked to announce that my partnership with Kiwi Experience, AND…..

Travelling with Kiwi Experience
If you haven’t heard of Kiwi Experience already, they are New Zealand’s premier hop-on / hop-off bus adventure tour company, and it’s one of the best ways to explore this gorgeous country. They’ve got a bunch of different types of bus passes to choose from, and it all just depends on how long you’re traveling for, and what you’re trying to do in New Zealand.
I’ve had several friends travel with them before, and everyone has said very positive things about the experience.
As a solo traveler, there really is no better way to experience the country. It’s more than just a bus company because it comes with guaranteed accommodation, great tour guides & bus drivers, and I’ll be surrounded by tons of fellow travelers.

What Am I Most Excited For…?
Now this is pretty hard to choose because the full itinerary is super epic, but these are probably my Top 5!!
Exploring Hobbiton
As I’ve already explained, I’m kind of a Lord of the Rings nerd, so visiting the set of one of my favorite trilogies is really going to be a dream come true.
Skydiving Taupo
During my trip down the east-cost of Australia last year, I got the opportunity to go skydiving for the first time! It was one of the most exhilarating feelings of my life, and I can’t wait to experience it for the second time!
Franz Josef Heli Glacier Hike
That’s right!! How epic does this sound? I’ll be hiking in a glacier that is only accessible after taking a helicopter ride! This might just be one of the best things of the trip!
Queenstown
The adventure capital of New Zealand is a favorite among young travelers, and I’ve heard nothing but good things about Queenstown. From bungee jumping, canyon swinging, and bar crawls — I guarantee I’m going to have a pretty crazy time out in Qtown!
Milford Sound Explorer
The first time I saw a picture of this place, I knew that I had to get here someday. Well that day is now just about one-month away, and I’m pretty stoked to get to witness this place in person (and take some gorgeous shots of the scenery! :-)
The Full Itinerary
For those of you New Zealand travel experts out there, this is my full-itinerary. Unfortunately, I have to fit all of these magical places into just one short month, but I know that every day will be a new adventure.
